Get hungry for New Country Buffet in Seabrook
Eatery caters to all sorts of taste buds

By Amy Kane

SEABROOK — Hungry? A new restaurant has opened in Seabrook featuring a tasty all-you-can-eat buffet of Asian and American cuisine.

New Country Buffet is at 920 Lafayette Road, in the space formerly occupied by Tang's. The interior has been completely renovated. New ceramic tile floors, new tables and booths, and bright green shoots of lucky bamboo give the restaurant a clean, polished feeling.

"People come in and say, 'Wow, you really changed it,'" said Polly Munoz, manager of New Country Buffet. "It's new owners and it's a whole new ballgame."

New Country Buffet is owned and operated by the Yu family, who recently relocated from North Carolina.

The restaurant entry way features a landscaped waterfall fountain. The restaurant seats 200, including a separate room seating 60 that can be reserved free for special functions. There is a bar with a large flat screen television, and two TVs in one section of the dining area.

The centerpiece of the restaurant is six large buffet tables featuring 14 selections. Selections include Chinese-American cuisine, as well as crab legs and salmon, and varied American dishes like roast beef, pork loin, mashed potatoes, french fries, steak pie, macaroni and cheese and pizza.

A sushi bar, a fruit and salad bar and a dessert bar round out the savory selections.

Lunch, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., costs just $6.15. Dinner, from 4 to 9 p.m., is $9.75. Drinks are extra. Bar selections include wine and beer and specialties of the house like Mai Tais and Scorpion Bowls.

"It's an incredible selection. People are really satisfied," Munoz said.
