Muni news

Round up of North Hampton news from today's Hampton Union...

I've heard good things about this field.

'Like they're in the major leagues'
NHYA, ballplayers take to town's 'field of dreams'

A happy ending to the field-under-water stories from this time last year, when we were building arks not playing ball.

No. Hampton Old Home Day, concerts upcoming
Register now for popular 5K, fun run

The weather for the run has run the gamut. You never know what you'll get when you preregister. Anything is possible from 42˚ in a torrential downpour to a torrid 90˚. We love New England.

North Hampton School Board meeting held
Automatic door locking system to be installed

Base price for the work is $37,750, which will cover a security camera system as well as a centralized door locking system. The door system, which will be accessible by keypad, will have an automatic locking capability and the office will be alerted if any exterior doors are open.

School visitors will be required to buzz in at the front door, which caused concern among some of the board members as to how the community would react.

Reaction from community member: I hate this.
