New YMCA in Exeter?

A new community center and YMCA is in the planning stages in Exeter. It will be available for North Hampton residents too. Visit squamscott.org.

Carol Aten Walker, Project Manager for Squamscott Community Commons, is asking for people to participate in a web-based survey about the project.

She says she would like at least 350 people in the greater Exeter and Hampton areas to take the survey.

Your answers will help to shape the kind of facility and YMCA that we build. The survey will take about five minutes to complete. Participation in the survey is purely voluntary, but essential to the success of this project. All responses are anonymous and will be reported only in the aggregate.

Chris and I have been talking about something like this since we lived in Chicago!

I know lots of people who've wanted another indoor pool nearby for a long time. Exeter is esp close to people on the west side of North Hampton.

My younger daughter (12) wants to lift (light)weights and get on a treadmill, but she's too young for the private gym facilities.

An indoor track would be great for seniors, well, anybody when the snow is piled up.

MOst private gyms won't take them.

I think a community complex like Squamscott Commons is needed in this area. The YMCA will be a great way to add the exercise and family time in to our lives. Thank to Amy for posting this information!
